Marcus<\/span>\u00ae<\/span>\u00a0Hotels & Resorts<\/span><\/a>, a nationally recognized owner and management company and division of\u00a0<\/span>The Marcus Corporation<\/span><\/a>, today announced\u00a0Matt\u00a0Traetow\u00a0has been appointed\u00a0as general manager of\u00a0the Coralville Hotel & Conference Center\u00a0in Coralville, Iowa.\u00a0The company will assume management of the\u00a0full-service\u00a0property on\u00a0August 18, 2021, which\u00a0is slated to\u00a0be\u00a0rebranded\u00a0as Hyatt Regency Coralville Hotel & Conference Center.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With over 20 years\u00a0in the hospitality industry,\u00a0Traetow\u2019s\u00a0career includes\u00a0leadership positions in both\u00a0sales\u00a0and operations\u00a0at\u00a0upscale,\u00a0full-service\u00a0properties\u00a0throughout\u00a0Iowa and Minnesota. He most recently served as\u00a0area general manager\u00a0for\u00a0Hotel Equities, a\u00a0hotel owner,\u00a0operator\u00a0and development firm based in Alpharetta, Georgia.\u00a0In this role,\u00a0Traetow\u00a0led operations of the Homewood Suites by Hilton Coralville-Iowa River Landing in Coralville, Iowa,\u00a0as well as provided oversight and guidance for three other area properties.\u00a0His extensive responsibilities included hiring,\u00a0onboarding\u00a0and training of all hotel leaders and associates; budgeting, forecasting and revenue\u00a0management;\u00a0as well as\u00a0the successful rollout of new guest services and\u00a0protocols.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
