Marcus Hotels & Resorts<\/a> announced today that respected chef and restauranteur Barkha Daily has been named general manager of its flagship restaurant, Mason Street Grill<\/a>. In this role, Daily will be responsible for overseeing all facets of restaurant service, guest engagement, talent development and unique guest experiences.<\/p>\n

Born and raised in Nepal, Daily came to Wisconsin as an international student at Lakeland College in Sheboygan. After a successful career in international marketing, she entered the hospitality industry with her first endeavor, the cheel, a Nepalese restaurant that earned over 40 local awards. Daily also owned and managed a beer garden and a second restaurant featuring western Mexican cuisine. As her culinary star continued to rise, Daily was chosen to serve as a judge on Food Network and Top Chef.<\/p>\n
