Marcus Hotels & Resorts Promotes Danica Potier to Executive Director of Sales for its Milwaukee Market

Marcus® Hotels & Resorts, a nationally recognized owner and management company and division of The Marcus Corporation, today announced the promotion of Danica Potier to executive director of sales for the company’s Milwaukee market. In this role, she will manage the sales teams for Marcus Hotels & Resorts’ flagship properties – Saint Kate – The Arts Hotel, The Pfister Hotel, and Hilton Milwaukee City Center. Potier will also continue to maintain and build relationships with key corporate accounts and serve as a key leader of the overall sales team.

With over 25 years in the hospitality industry, Potier most recently served as area director of sales for the company’s Milwaukee properties. She began her career with Marriott branded properties throughout the U.S. before joining Marcus Hotels & Resorts in 2009 as director of restaurant sales and promotions. She continued to grow her career at properties throughout the greater Milwaukee area before returning to Marcus Hotels & Resorts in 2019 as area assistant director of sales. Potier is involved with several industry organizations, including the Wisconsin Hotel & Lodging Association, Global Business Travel Association and Meeting Professional International. She is also passionate about helping those interested in a career in hospitality. Potier serves on the advisory board for the hospitality program in the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District and as a mentor with LAUNCH, a mentorship program for high school students interested in learning more about in-demand careers in industries like hospitality. In addition, she is an engaged partner with Milwaukee Area Technical College and Waukesha County Technical College in Pewaukee, Wisconsin where she is a guest speaker for hospitality and leadership courses as well as a volunteer for their events

Potier holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City and an associate degree in hospitality and restaurant management from Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton, Wisconsin. In addition to her professional experience, Potier is active in her community as a long-time volunteer for March of Dimes.
