CAPITOL CHOPHOUSE INTRODUCES FARMERS’ MARKET INSPIRED BRUNCH SATURDAYS & SUNDAYS FEATURING LOCAL INGREDIENTS

Come for the Farmers’ Market- Stay for Brunch!

Madison, Wis., May 5, 2015. . . . .Capitol ChopHouse, located adjacent to the Hilton Madison Monona Terrace, will host a Farmer’s Market Inspired Brunch every Saturday and Sunday beginning now through September, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.  The menu, crafted by Chef Anthony Lemens, features all local ingredients, bottomless mimosas and specialty-crafted cocktails.  Outdoor seating will also be available for diners who enjoy dining al fresco during the warm, summer months.

 

“The inspiration behind our brunch was developed around The Dane County Farmers’ Market on Capitol Square, which is one of the largest producer-only farmers’ markets in the country featuring approximately 300 vendors throughout the year.  We are excited to now provide guests and residents a great weekend brunch offering to enjoy either before or after visiting the market on Saturdays, or while relaxing on Sundays.  Our menu features a wide selection of brunch favorites, seafood options, and sandwiches – all carefully selected and prepared with local ingredients from many local purveyors,” said Chef Lemens.

 

“Madison diners want fresh, local and flavorful dishes and the Farmer’s Market is just a few blocks away, which makes it easy to incorporate fresh and local into our menu. We are proud to partner with so many quality Madison and Wisconsin-area producers,” added Lemens.

 

Local purveyors Capitol ChopHouse partners with include: Gitto Organic Farm, Black Earth Farm, Holland’s Family Farm, Hickory Hill Farm, Willow Creek Farm, Roth Kase Cheese, Hooks Cheese, Roelli Cheese, Carr Valley Cheese, Uplands Cheese, Kickapoo Coffee, RP’s Pasta, Underground Meats, Quince and Apple, Real Wisconsin Pizza Company, Super Charged Foods, Clean Fresh Food, KP Simply Fresh Aquaponics Farm, Old Sugar Distillery and Patz Maple and Honey Farms.

Brunch menu entrees include open faced hash browns, bananas foster French toast, beef short rib benedict, chorizo & egg tostada, malted milk pancakes and farmers’ market hash. Appetizers such as tomato & mozzarella salad, fresh oysters, smoked salmon fritters, Wisconsin cheese and charcuterie boards and salads are also available.  Unique and hand-crafted specialty cocktails will be served including bottomless mimosas, surf and turf bloody mary, pineapplemint mojito, gin dream and the capitol Bellini.  The brunch also features a children’s menu, as well as a wide assortment of coffee drinks, beer choices and wines available by the glass or bottle.
