The mission is simple: visit the SafeHouse multiple times in September and eat four of SafeHouse’s top-ranked burgers. The reward for completing the mission is a free burger in October — plus a chance to win a free night stay at Milwaukee’s historic Pfister Hotel. In addition, SafeHouse will be extending its popular August special, “Feed your Family for $50,” into the Fall. This mission is available to families every Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at SafeHouse Milwaukee and offers a chance for agent families to save big. Operation “Burger Master” Mission Details
*Note: The Smersh Burger can be substituted for any of the above to make it vegetarian-friendly. In other words, vegetarian agents who buy four Smersh Burgers in September will get a free burger in October. Once agents complete the mission, they also will be entered into a drawing for a free night stay at AAA-Four Diamond Pfister Hotel. Feed Your Family for $50 – Intel Here…
Families with more than four agents are also welcome! For families bigger than four, each additional meal is charged at regular menu price. Top-secret information about SafeHouse Restaurant and Bar is available at http://www.safe-house.com/. Spies clued into the SafeHouse social media channels (Facebook, Twitter @SafeHouseMKE, Instagram @safehousemke and SnapChat) in September will receive clandestine (and exclusive) intel about these dangerously delicious missions. Hilton Milwaukee City Center’s Beloved Canine Concierge, Millie, Turns 1!![]() The Hilton Milwaukee City Center celebrates a very special birthday this September! Millie, a mini Goldendoodle who serves as the hotel’s “canine concierge,” and who has warmed the hearts of many locals and travelers, is turning one Wednesday, September 13. The public is invited to help celebrate Millie’s birthday from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. in 6th and Green, the hotel’s outside courtyard. Millie, who is named using the first and last syllables of Milwaukee, works alongside her owner and the Hilton Milwaukee’s “human” concierge, Rusty Dahler, Tuesday through Saturday. She spends 40 hours a week working at the hotel – welcoming guests and providing cuddles to employees and visitors in the lobby, riding on luggage carts and assisting with deliveries, and visiting business and meeting attendees during conference breaks held at the hotel. Since arriving at the hotel, Millie has become a mini celebrity in Milwaukee, also participating in city parades and special events held at the hotel. She’s even known nationwide, having been mentioned by Hilton Hotels CEO Chris Nassetta on his personal Facebook page, mentioned on Buzzfeed’s Reasons to Smile Facebook page and the Weather Channel’s Crazimals page. Flight attendants from a national airline are also known to request stops to Milwaukee just to see Millie! Millie’s First Birthday Party, Sept. 13
The event, at the Hilton Milwaukee’s 6th and Green, is free and open to the public, including well-mannered and leashed dogs. Instead of gifts for Millie, please consider bringing a toy to donate to the Wisconsin Humane Society. In the event of rain, the festivities will need to be moved inside for a people-only party (dogs will not be allowed). “Millie has changed the atmosphere of the hotel’s lobby tremendously. When guests check-in or walk into the lobby, the first thing they often see is Millie, and she instantly brings a smile to their faces. She makes guests feel at home,” said Dahler. “At the Hilton Milwaukee City Center, we want to provide an exceptional and unforgettable experience. Millie certainly offers an experience unlike any other for residents and guests alike.” The AAA-Four Diamond Hilton Milwaukee City Center, one of Milwaukee’s premier pet-friendly hotels, chose to bring a canine concierge into the hotel in fall 2016. After determining the best breed – one that is hypoallergenic and has a calm temperament – the hotel, with help from Concierge Rusty Dahler, found Millie and brought her to the hotel in late November 2016. For more information about Millie’s First Birthday Party, visit http://www.hiltonmilwaukee.com, or check Facebook or Twitter @HiltonMilwaukee. Millie shares her adventures at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center on Instagram @millieatthehilton. A video of Millie can be found at https://youtu.be/8MpmRRAHxmU. About Hilton Milwaukee City Center With 729 renovated guest rooms, Hilton Milwaukee can accommodate nearly any group. Four Marcus Restaurant Properties Awarded Wine Spectator Recognition Marcus® Restaurant Group announced today that four of its premier properties – Mason Street Grill and Milwaukee ChopHouse in Milwaukee; Capitol ChopHouse in Madison, Wis.; and Grey Rock at the Heidel House Resort & Spa in Green Lake, Wis. – have earned a 2017 Wine Spectator award to recognize their respective wine programs. Mason Street Grill has received the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence five years in a row, while Grey Rock has earned the award for its 15th year. In 2017, Capitol ChopHouse and Milwaukee ChopHouse are both receiving the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for the first time. The Wine Spectator Award of Excellence recognizes fewer than 2,400 restaurants each year, requiring at least 90 wine options and a well-chosen assortment of quality producers, along with a thematic match to the restaurant menu. “We are proud to have four Marcus restaurants recognized for this prestigious ranking,” said Susan Terry, vice president of food & beverage operations for Marcus Hotels & Resorts. “It reflects the thoughtful selection and high quality of wines that our teams pair with our restaurants’ exceptional cuisine.” To be considered for a 2017 Wine Spectator Award, each Marcus Restaurant property submitted an application highlighting its particular strengths: Mason Street Grill – With more than 290 wines available by the glass or bottle, downtown Milwaukee’s Mason Street Grill offers a diverse selection of quality wines from all major wine producing regions throughout the world. The restaurant boasts a strong selection of wines from the western United States – California, Oregon and Washington, and regularly brings in upper-tier and limited-release wines from that region and others. Milwaukee ChopHouse – Newly recognized this year, the Milwaukee ChopHouse, located inside the Hilton Milwaukee City Center, offers more than 150 wines that complement the restaurant’s selection of quality steaks and entrees. The restaurant also regularly partners with vineyards and wineries across the U.S. to bring unique tasting experiences to guests, locals and visitors alike. Capitol ChopHouse – Similar to the Milwaukee ChopHouse, the Capitol ChopHouse, located in downtown Madison, Wis. at the Hilton Madison Monona Terrace, earned the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for the first time this year. The restaurant added more than 30 wines to its wine menu, which has a selection of more than 180 wines total. With wines ranging from sparkling whites to Cabernet Sauvignon, the restaurant’s wines pair well with the traditional steak house cuisine that features locally sourced products and seasonal produce. Grey Rock – Located at the Heidel House Resort & Spa in Green Lake, Wis., Grey Rock has received the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence every year since 2002. In a relaxed, lakefront setting, the restaurant offers fine dining with approximately 115 wines available by the glass or bottle and a strong emphasis on California wines. Grey Rock also features two wines from Wisconsin on its menu. “We care about every guest experience. Since wine can be, and often is, a critical component to the meal, we are continuing to increase our offerings and selection at all of our restaurants,” added Terry. “This recognition proves that the hard work of our restaurant teams is paying off.” For more information about Marcus Restaurant Group’s premier properties, visit http://marcusrestaurants.com/.
